The Three Pinnacles
A visit to the natural wonder of the Sexten/Sestino Dolomites and the world-famous Three Pinnacles (Tre Cime di Lavaredo) is an absolute must when vacationing in this region.
The Three Pinnacles (also known as the "Three Battlements" or the "Three Peaks") are one of the most important trademarks of the Dolomites.
One of the best look-out points to admire the beauty of the Three Pinnacles is the highest point of Monte Piana near Lake Misurina.
Numerous shuttle buses drive from Misurina to the Angelo Bosi Alpine Hut (2,205 meters above sea-level.) Then there are also countless hiking trails which will take you directly to the starting-point of this spectacular group of mountains. There's even a road (toll) which you can take if you'd rather not travel by foot.
One path there also starts from the north side, from the area of Innichen / San Candido (Pusteria Valley, 104 km from Bozen/Bolzano): You can travel by car to the parking spaces in Innerfeld Valley (Val Campo di Dentro) from where the path branches off to the "Three Shoemakers" Hut (800 meters altitude differential.)
So whether you're an experienced mountaineer or just want to stroll along easy trails, ask us! We can help you plan your tour, select an Alpine climbing school, etc. – if you like!
